Happy Halloween!

Given Ashton’s love of dogs, he was a puppy this year for Halloween.  And a very cute little puppy if I do say so myself.  Unfortunately, he did take a little convincing to get into his costume however.   Once he saw his reflection though, he seemed quite pleased.  Phew!  Tears averted…

Fortunately, Jeff had off this year, so we took Ashton around to a few houses on our street and then came back to hand out candy.  Ashton was quite the little greeter and loved seeing all of the kids in their costumes.  At the end of the night, he dumped out all of his candy on the floor to admire it, as any 22 month old trick-or-treater would. 

Also, his weekly story time group at the library had a costume party, so we doubled our fun!

Fall Fun

We’ve had a busy fall but managed to squeak in a trip to the pumpkin patch just before Halloween.  Ashton loved it!  We took a hayride out to the field and wondered around searching for the perfect pumpkins.  Ashton had a blast running around and ultimately deciding on his favorites.  There was also a corn maze, which our fearless leader navigated us through.  We topped the afternoon off with some pumpkin carving at home.

Babymoon

Jeff and I visited the Florida Keys last month as a last hurrah before our baby girl arrives in January.  Grammy was nice enough to come to Cleveland and watch Ashton while we were away.   All reports indicate he was a very good boy!  They went to a pumpkin patch, hung out at the park, played at the library and even went to the Children's Museum. 

 

Jeff and I had a great time eating at grown up restaurants, relaxing and reading on the beach, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking (we saw a huge manatee!), and perhaps best of all, sleeping in late.  Such a treat!

 

Thanks again to Grammy for making the trip possible!
