Lake Erie Love

We've had a great time taking Ashton down to the lake to splash around and play in the sand this summer.  He loves the beach and inevitably winds up soaked and covered in sand from head to toe.  One day, we'll remember to bring him a change of clothes!  ;)

Backyard shenanigans

Ashton has loved being outside this summer.  He has had a blast playing in his pool, running through the sprinkler, 'mowing' the lawn, splashing around in his water table and cruising the neighborhood in his car.  He asks to go outside pretty much as soon as he wakes up and we have to coax him back inside for meals and ultimately bedtime.  Another benefit of all this fresh air?  He sleeps like a baby! :)

Fourth of July

Grammy and PopPop traveled to Cleveland to celebrate the Fourth this year with us.  We had a bbq at home and then headed downtown to see the fireworks.  Unfortunately, Ashton missed all of the action and ended up snoozing through the whole fireworks show.  Yes, he’s a deep sleeper!!  The rest of the weekend we spent relaxing at home, playing with some of Ashton’s favorite new toys – his car and water table - and checking out some local eateries.  Ashton also learned the word ‘PopPop’ and still goes around the house calling out for his great grandfather…I think they are kindred spirits!  :)
