Checking out the County Fair

Attending a fair has been on my list of ‘to dos’ since I moved to Ohio.  They are all the rage here and pretty much every town and county hosts a summer fair.  We weren’t sure what to expect but it was basically a carnival with demolition derby and farm animals.  What’s not to love about that? :)

Ashton got such a kick out of all of the animals (which you can pet btw!) and he even got to ride his first pony.  We were worried that he may be a bit too young but he loved it (see video below)!  A regular cowboy.  We also listened to some live music, indulged in funnel cake and fried meatballs and cheered on a wiener dog race.  It’s was a fun day out and we’ll def be back next year!

Ducks!

So excited :)

Not sure about the llamas...

Or the very loud roosters!

Loved the piggies though.

And the goats!

Didn't mind the snakes. Yuck!

Loved the pony ride!

A fair's not a fair w/o funnel cake.

Ashton's Home Alone face :)
Piglets!

All tuckered out!

Big Brother

Ashton has some exciting news to share….he’s going to be a big brother in January!  We’re so thrilled and excited to expand our family and know that Ashton will be a great big brother.

Adding to the excitement is that we recently learned that we will be having a baby GIRL!  Needless to say, we are over the moon!  This is very big news in Virginia, as the Taylor family hasn’t welcomed a baby girl in more than 15 years.  Let the shopping begin!
