Florida - Part Two

The second half of our Florida trip we spent with my dad in Naples.  We had so much fun at the Marco Island Seafood Festival, spending time on the beach and hanging around the house enjoying everyone's company.

Popster, Gigi and Aunt Casey loved up on little snook (as my dad calls Ashton).  We had some fun late nights.  I enjoyed some vino and got caught up on my guilty pleasure TV with the girls while Jeff smoked a few stoogies with my dad.

Looking forward to our next trip!

Happy boy!

Florida - Part One

Last month, we headed down to Florida to visit family and enjoy a little sunshine and warmth.  We spend several great days in Deerfield Beach with my grandparents before driving across Alligator Alley to spend a few more days in Naples with my dad.

While in Deerfield, Ashton had a great time swimming in the pool, looking at the ducks and being spoiled by his great grandparents.  He was treated to his first Teddy Grahms and chocolate chip cookies, which he loved (just like Pop Pop)!  We had a relaxing and fun time and it was so nice to spend time with everyone.  Ashton even broke his veggie strike and ate some of Great Grandmom's peas!

Ashton was a very nice boy at dinner.

You're funny, Pop Pop!

Easter

We spent a nice Easter morning together before Jeff had to leave for work.   Ashton made his way downstairs to see what the Easter bunny had brought him and was very excited with his findings.  I will admit that I may have gone a little overboard on his basket this year....ooops!  Afterwards, Ashton and I headed to Church, which was interesting since it was just the two of us....he still loves the music but does his darndest to distract everyone around us.  Fortunately, everyone was very kind and didn't seem to mind too much.

Later that day, Ashton and I went outside to play.  The Easter card we got him this year came with a bunny ear hat, which I couldn't resist putting on him.  Shockingly, he was a pretty good sport about wearing the hat and he looked absolutely adorable (said the doting mama)!
