Crazy Saturday/Lazy Sunday

We recently enjoyed a busy Saturday packed with a lunch outing and shopping at the West Side Market.  Later that night, we went to our friends house for dinner and drinks.  Being the social butterfly that he is, Ashton came along and stayed up WAY past his bed time.  The good news is, he also slept in and we all had a nice snooze on Sunday.

Seven Springs

Last month, we decided to take a long weekend in the mountains for a little snow and ski getaway.  We usually head to upstate NY for this trip but with Ashton in tow this year, we opted for Seven Springs, a small ski resort outside of Pittsburgh.  The benefit of this was that Grammy and Grandad could easily join us for some Ashton time and we could ski!  Sadly, I hurt my back and was unable to ski but Jeff ventured out both days.

We got A LOT of snow while we were there and had fun exploring the area around our cabin.  We took a walk in the woods, went sledding and built a snowman.  It was Super Bowl weekend, which made it extra fun to be snowed in and eat ourselves silly.  A Baltimore win topped off the weekend!

Lake Erie Nature Center

Ashton has opened our eyes to all of the fun kid-friendly activities that Cleveland has to offer.  We recently took him to the Lake Erie Nature Center, which is part of the metro park system.  They have a planetarium, a bunch of indoor fish and reptile exhibits as well as great outdoor space full of rabbits, foxes, owls, etc...he had a great time.  It's now one of Andrea and Ashton's regular outings!
